communication then and now..

 communication then and now..

Communication is a process by which information is exchanged between individuals through a common system of signs or behaviour. As man evolved to be erect and got hands free he started to communicate with hand signals. As time passed various noises were made and languages were developed.

Until the telephone was invented in the eighteenth century, point to point communication did not exist. With that invention messages could be conveyed verbally or through telegrams or cables. The other revolution in communication was the invention of the printing press and the system of publishing newspapers. All the countries in the world were bound together.

The modern day modes of communication are mobile telephones and the internet through which any information could be transmitted within seconds. The owner of the mobile telephone could give verbal messages or short messages to be read. Even the caller's number is displayed on the screen. On the other hand, the internet system is more efficient in various ways. The user is able to get any information of the world in a short time by visiting any web site and the user could deliver any message world wide. Even newspapers could be read in the internet. What a marvel !
